A good, sometimes lively ,brown/town bar.Has a Rugby theme but doesnt matter too much.!! The present ownership started in the 70s. James and Hans were the two barmen. James, huge man with hands like shovells, is now the manager.Hans has retired but still helps out now and again.Dutch , Irish beer and Cider on draught.Many other types in bottles.Nice range of Whiskey etc. Locals come from miles to drink there.Meet Cor de Bore, a local legend ,plus loads of others. Henk New Zealand,John (Shauney) Bank etc etc.The present bar staff are ,Eric , Robbie and Mario. . Can get very crowded especially at weekends in summer, but youll be given a warm welcome |
